SALTY HOUR #44

Posted on February 05 2017

Saturday 4th February saw the first Salty Hour of 2017 take place at Gonubie Beach.

Salty Hour is a surf community project initiated by the DeadReckCrew - inviting all ages to come and experience surfing under the guidance of local and experienced surfer for 1 hour a week.... for FREE.

Sponsors EasyEquities, Countonali, Reef Wetsuits, Ocean & Earth Surf Store, Star Centre, Hurricane, Gotcha South Africa - have all contributed towards equipment and surfboards needed to get frothing first time surfers up and riding!

"I believe every brand / business has a social responsibility to give back to the community that supports it - Dead Reckoning, an international brand, was born in Gonubie, East London. Being a strong believer that the best way to make a difference in the world is to start at home, Salty Hour was developed with the help of DeadReck team rider and all round nice guy, Tyrell Johnson and supported by local surfers who give up an hour of their time to lend a helping hand." - Dead Reckoning Founder Jono Bruton

Here are some snaps taken by DeadReck Sadé Smallman of the past Salty Hour.
