If you are in Plett the weekend of the 23rd and 24th June, make sure to get down to The Wedge and catch The Wedge Shootout Surfing competition!
This is a unique contest put together by Surfing Life Surf Store! Why is it unique? Well, the format is pretty different to your conventional surf contest AND its invitational only!
Teams of 4 surfers per team are rounded up and pitted against other teams of 4 surfers! The surfers will surf jersey-less and this is a non-elimination contest which means the surfers will surf at least times over the 2 days.
Teams will surf together as a unit meaning that the 4 man team will be in the water together. They will be awarded for radical manoeuvres and of course (being at the Wedge) tub-riding skills. So expect to see big boosts and deep pitts!
Dead Reckoning, has entered a team and is keeping things 100% local with 4 surfers who are actually Plett local surfers. They will be managed by our very own inked rockstar Leroy Dunn.

The DeadReck team will be surfing against other surf industry brand teams... so... Leroy, you better make sure the crew are well oiled so they can show just how solid the DeadReckCrew are in the water! We want back massages and cold beers!
